Welcome to Ata’s Eye! This Privacy Policy explains how TOALL Design Consulting (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our Ata’s Eye mobile application (the "App") and the associated AIONIOS ata-05 smart robot (the "Robot").
Our guiding principle is to give you control over your data. A core feature of our Service is that your personal media, such as video and audio recordings, are stored locally. We do not store your media recordings on our cloud servers.
By using our App and Robot (collectively, the "Service"), you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
We provide a straightforward way for you to delete your account and associated data of the app.
To permanently delete your account, please follow these steps within the app:
1. After logging in, tap on your profile avatar in the top-left corner of the screen.
2. This will open the "Account Settings" page. Scroll to the bottom of this page.
3. Tap the "Delete Account" button.
4. Please read the on-screen prompt carefully. You will be asked to verify your request via an email verification code to proceed with the deletion.
Once you confirm the account deletion request, all of your user data will be deleted immediately and permanently. There is no additional retention period for your data after this action is completed.
To provide and improve our Service, we collect the following types of information:
· Account Information: To use the Service, you must create an account. We require either your mobile phone number or your email address, and you must set a password. Alternatively, you can choose to register and log in using your Google Account (OAuth).
· Device and Robot Information: To ensure proper functionality, pairing, and support, we collect necessary information to identify your devices. This includes technical information about your mobile device (such as operating system and device type) and your Robot (such as hardware information).
· Light Sensor Data: The Robot collects data on the ambient light intensity. This information is used solely to determine whether to automatically switch to night vision mode and is not stored.
This section details the highly sensitive data your Robot can capture. This data is processed with your privacy as the top priority.
· Video Data: The Robot is equipped with a camera. The camera is only activated under the following circumstances, based on your direct commands or settings:
o When you are actively controlling the Robot through the App (live view).
o When you have enabled "Sentry Mode" and it is triggered by motion.
o When you have enabled "Timed Recording" and it is activated. Crucially, all video recordings are stored either locally on your mobile device or on the SD card within your Robot. We do not upload, store, or have access to your video recordings on our servers.
· Audio Data: The Robot is equipped with a microphone. The microphone is only activated when you view the live feed from the Robot or when Sentry Mode or Timed Recording is active. The Robot does not have a "wake word" feature and does not continuously listen to its environment. As with video, any audio captured is part of the media recordings stored locally on your mobile device or the Robot's SD card. We do not upload, store, or have access to your audio recordings on our servers.
The App may request permission to access your location. This is required solely to enable Bluetooth functionality for connecting the App to your Robot. The App does not collect, store, or process your geographic location information for any other purpose.
We use the limited information we collect for the following specific purposes:
· To Provide and Maintain Our Service: To create your account, pair your devices, and enable all the features you use, such as remote control and device management.
· To Improve Our Products and Fix Bugs: We analyze technical and device information to understand how our Service is performing, identify and fix technical issues, and make improvements for a better user experience.
We do not use your personal information for marketing or advertising purposes.
We do not sell your personal information. We only share your information with third parties in the following limited circumstances:
· Third-Party Service Providers: We share information with third-party vendors that help us operate our Service. These are:
o Google (OAuth): If you choose to log in with Google, we share information with Google to authenticate your account.
o Google (Push Notification Service): We use this service to send you necessary notifications related to the Service.
· For Legal Reasons: We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in response to valid requests by public authorities (e.g., a court or a government agency).
· Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may be transferred. We will provide notice before your information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
You have full control over the media you create and who sees it.
· Local Storage: As stated throughout this policy, your photos and video/audio recordings are stored locally on your own devices, not our servers.
· Inviting Other Users: The App allows you to invite other users to access and control your Robot. You are responsible for who you invite and what permissions you grant them, including whether they can view media you have captured.
We are committed to protecting your information. We implement the following security measures:
· Encryption in Transit: All information transmitted between the App, our servers, and the Robot is encrypted using HTTPS.
· Encryption at Rest: Data stored on our servers is encrypted using AES-256.
· Access Controls: Our operational personnel cannot access your account information in plaintext. Access to user data is strictly limited on a need-to-know basis.
We believe in data minimization. We only keep your account-related information for as long as your account is active. If you choose to delete your account through the App's settings, all associated account information will be permanently and immediately deleted from our servers.
You have control over your personal information. You can:
· Access, Modify, and Delete Your Data: You can access, update, or delete your account information at any time through the account settings page within the Ata’s Eye App.
Depending on your location, you may have additional rights under local law, such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
Our Service is not intended for or directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you believe that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at contact@aionios-design.com. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
Our servers are located in the United States. If you are using the Service from outside the United States, please be aware that your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States. For operational purposes, such as customer support or bug fixing, our personnel in other locations (such as Shanghai, China) may need to access certain data, subject to the strict security and access controls mentioned in this policy.
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date" at the top. For material changes, we may also provide a more prominent notice within the App.
